This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — covering our website, our quoting and job-management system, and the portals we provide to staff, builders and property managers. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

Contact and job details you give us when booking an inspection, requesting a quote, or getting in touch — name, phone number, email, property address, and a description of the work.
Photos you or our team attach to an enquiry, quote, maintenance request, or inspection report, to help us assess or document the job.
Account details for staff, builders and property managers with portal access — name, email, phone, business address, organisation, and any licence or logo files uploaded for that account.
Technical information such as login session cookies, needed to keep you signed in to a portal securely. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.

How we use it

To respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, and schedule and carry out plumbing work.
To manage staff, builder and property manager portal accounts and the access permitted for each.
To meet our licensing, compliance and record-keeping obligations as a licensed plumbing contractor.
To send job-related notifications — for example, a password reset or a request status update.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information. We share it only where needed to run the business:

ServiceM8 — our field job-management platform, for approved quotes that become active jobs.
Google — to display our publicly available Google review rating, and for maps/directions.
Anthropic (Claude AI) — we use AI drafting assistance for tasks like inspection reports and quote descriptions. Content is sent securely for that purpose only; AI never sets pricing or makes decisions about your job on its own.
Email delivery services — to send account and job-related notifications.
Where required by law, regulation, or a valid legal process.

How we protect it

Account passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing — we can't see or recover your actual password. Business records are encrypted at rest, access to portals is restricted by role, and file uploads are screened before storage. No system is completely risk-free, and we work to keep these protections current.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it where we're not required to keep it for legal or compliance reasons.
